Artist Statement

OVERTHINK is a collection that has been developed over the past two years, capturing deep emotions of love and pain. Emotions that intertwine, where love—no matter how strong or delicate—can break and turn into pain. Love is represented by flowers, while pain is symbolized by stones. The red hues of the flowers and stones evoke the power of emotions, sometimes delicate and vibrant, radiant and beautiful to the eyes. But nothing lasts forever. Just as flowers need nurturing, love also needs to be cared for. When it isn't, it becomes pain—pain that vibrates, transcends boundaries, and shines until it turns into tears. Both feelings are fragmented, cut into pieces until they become shards, fragments that can never be put back together. Love flows through our veins, while pain hardens us and breaks us into pieces. And when we realize it, we are trapped in an endless loop, a maze of thoughts that haunt us, with no way out—day and night, night and day. We try to guide ourselves, following continuous lines that often lead nowhere. But even so, we search for a place to stop and rebuild ourselves, to rise stronger. To grow. To accept that we are two versions of a feeling so pure that we may not even deserve it. For all emotions have two sides: the one that shines and the one that is gray. This collection not only portrays emotions but also what remains when those same emotions wound us as fragile human beings. It shows that not everything is as hard as it seems, but not everything is as beautiful either.
